not every job made the cut. these are the chapters that actually shaped how I work.
started in web content and CMS work before I knew to call it that. picked up an BAS in IT and Management along the way. learned some SEO, learned to redesign a small business site from the ground up, learned that I liked owning the whole thing.
spent these years at the intersection of product, engineering, and the people waiting on both. wrote user stories, built mockups, ran agile ceremonies. this is where translating between technical and non-technical people stopped being a skill and became a habit.
stepped away from tech completely for a stretch. turns out distance is useful. came back with better instincts about what actually matters in the work, and what’s just noise.
moved into software QA and testing, first as a test lead, then deep in test cases and defect tracking. the precision from these years is still the backbone of how I work. nothing ships until it’s actually right.
chose web design and development on purpose. six months of hands on WordPress and Elementor training, UX fundamentals, weekly mentorship. no more circling it. straight in.
designing and building, mostly on my own for now. staying open to what comes next.
