this is the part i actually like talking about.
this one started with a message: stop overthinking and rewire your nervous system for lasting change. before any wireframe existed, the work was brand and visual design, figuring out what a personal development coach's site should feel like when the whole pitch is about calm. once that identity was locked in, i built it out into a full custom theme and tuned every piece for mobile from the start.
a multi-page site for an excavation and land clearing company working across north idaho. competitor research came first here, looking at what everyone else in the space was doing so this site could do something different with color and layout. everything on the page points toward one goal: get a visitor to request a free estimate.
this is my own artist identity, so the real work wasn't design, it was figuring out who she is first. once that was clear, the brand followed, and the site became a single card-style landing page built around music, bio, and contact. simple on purpose, because the identity was doing all the talking.
this one started as a real idea. i was going to build a design and development business under this name and offer it to clients. i decided against actually running that kind of business, but i still wanted the site for my portfolio. so i asked myself a different question. if i were designing a site just for me, what would it look like. this is the answer. market research, web design, and development, all built out as a concept piece rather than a live business.
a multi-page artist site for a vocalist and songwriter. this one was less about brand from scratch and more about structure, getting the pages organized and styling the theme's color and typography to match her as an artist. a practice build, but a real one, meant to sharpen site structuring skills for future client work.
this one came out of a requirement, not a plan. my web development coaching program needed me to build a real site around an actual service or product, not just a placeholder. i was deep into tarot, astrology, and manifestation at the time, so i built a site around that. it gave me a reason to work with a custom blog, figure out what i'd even write about, and dip into some light social media to go with it.
